Our Heritage & Philosophy

Made slowly, by hand.

CLASP was founded on a simple conviction: accessories should carry the weight of intention. We craft each handbag, strap, and charm in limited runs, using vegetable-tanned hides that develop a rich patina over time.

Every seam is guided by traditional twin-needle saddle stitching, and every edge is hand-burnished for lasting durability. We honor the time it takes to build an object you keep for decades.

Atelier standards

Built by hand to endure daily wear.

Every cut, stitch, and edge is finished by hand in our Singapore workshop. We use traditional saddle-making techniques so each handbag and accessory holds its shape for decades.

Hand-cut full grain hides

Every panel is selected and cut individually from vegetable-tanned leather to follow the natural grain strength.

Twin-needle saddle stitch

Sewn with waxed linen thread using two independent needles so an isolated stress point will never unravel.

Multi-layer edge burnish

Dyed and hand-polished five distinct times with organic beeswax to yield a smooth, water-resistant edge.

Cast solid brass fittings

Custom clasps and rings that develop a warm, natural patina over years of use rather than peeling or chipping.
